Normally I don't give scathing reviews, but this book warranted it. I was very disappointed - this could have been a great book, but it was too confusing by far!!The little blurb they give you to describe this book is completely misleading!! Whoever wrote it didn't read the book. The book is not about a relationship between Damien and Karl at all! It is about a relationship with Damien and Bennett. Karl is being blackmailed to get info from Damien. I'm still confused as to why Karl was part of this story... This should have been two separate books: Damien and Bennett's story, and Karl's story.
No one edited this book prior to release. It had so many punctuation and spelling errors I was floored...
"Bell" of the ball?
"Gene spicing"??
"Heard the 'nock' on the door.."
"word spread 'threw out' the company"???
I could go on, but even 4th graders can do better than that!!
I read the whole book, but the disjointed writing in the sex scenes kept making me go back and re-read them because they were confusing and didn't flow very well. Used the same word over and over and over.. You get the idea. Buy a Thesaurus and use spell check, please!!

This book started slow, but as it progressed I could not put it down. How the characters are portrayed is really well written and how the plot thickens as you read on keeps you on the edge of your chair. It's not just another gay novel but does have some sexual parts that are emotionally written but done very well.

We are drawing close to the end of the beach season here in New England but there is still time to enjoy a day or two in the sun.
May I suggest bringing along a copy of John Charles new book "Blackmail Boardroom to Bedroom". In it you will find an engrossing plot, characters you can relate to, and enough sexual tension to have you diving into the surf to cool down.
Warning if you try to finish this enjoyable book in one sitting, be careful of the late summer sun as it can burn as treacherously as the Blackmail in the title of this book.
The book is even hotter that the cover suggests and it is written with style, not often found in books of this genre.
Read it! You won't be disappointed.

Mr Charles is a gifted author. This story was an interesting read. It reminds me of what would I do in a situation if I had been in a similar place, I know we should contact the authorities however, but are they truly to be trusted. We are all humans and somewhere in our lives we told someone something personal about ourselves and yet they used it against us. I can relate how someone we are friends with and spend a few years living together to learn that they are no longer in love with you. It's difficult to get the individual out of our lives for some and when love comes again that demon is still there, thankfully the new man in this story was strong for his new guy and helped to work through the ill effects of an old real relationship and to be able to help his guy to move on with his life.
Karl was introduced as a guy who came to the company as a new employee. However he had a task to do for an individual from a competitor wanted secrets of the protocol for a new drug and was using Karl's sexuality as a way to threaten him and his family. It can be used against you no matter where you live or work. I can relate for it happened to me while working for the government, even though you are told by your superiors we don't discriminate. Karl was angry, I know I would be, however, for him he was lucky for the company he worked for gave him things to try and make up for the wrong doings that they put him through.
Mr. Charles when is part two going to be published.
I enjoy reading for the pleasure that the author gives to us, the enjoyment I get out of the story. It's hard for me to understand why when it's being critiqued, that someone had difficulty with punctuation, spelling, or sentence structure. Even spell check as smart as it is doesn't always get it right, or is it rite, or did they mean write.
is asking their readers to review the book. Was it an enjoyable read. Would you put it on your favorite list , or just say in my opinion it's not a story I enjoyed, for it means a big difference for someone else who is debating whether to purchase it or not.
Authors in my opinion are creative people. The individual spends slot of time to provide us with stories to read and to enjoy. So let's sit back and enjoy the creativeness that these authors have penned for to make our lives a little less stressful. A Selma reader
It is very hard to write a review on this book only because the book was so damn good, I don't want to give any part of it away. So all I will say is buy the book, read it and I'm sure you will feel the same way.
