Ok I did enjoy this book. Maxine got more than what she bargain for when she met the handsome Italian Michael. Being best friend with his son Mikey does not help matters. After an affair that started as suchlike and then blossom into actual feelings. Poor Maxine after coming from out of a very bad relationship starting an affair with a very married Michael whose wife is not fulfilling her wifely duties. When the affair was exposed to Mikey she tried to stay away from Michael but he was very relentless and kept on pursuing Maxine. His wife caught wind, she decided she wants to stay married to her husband and keep the facade of their marriage going. Michael broke up with Maxine and again poor Maxine.... What she did next was not something that will help her shattered heart but am sure will cause more problems for father and son. This book was written in 2012 why the sequels is not out.. It's already 2 years... I am not sure if I will read part two because of that ending really.?..?

I don't write many reviews but I felt that I needed to comment on Prohibited. I got this book because of the great reviews but had to make myself finish it! By the end of the story, I disliked ALL the main characters. I didn't feel sympathy for any of them or feel that any of them deserved a HEA. Each character was out for them self and screw the rest of their friends and/or family. The ending was set up for a sequel which I definitely wouldn't bother buying. Sex scenes were ok- but that was all.
This is the 2nd book i done read from this author it was good and it look like it going to be a part 2 ......michael made seem like he is wrong from cheating on his wife but you quickly find out he is not a bad guy his wife all I got to say is a trip for real....I can't wait to read part 2
pleasantly very good. Not overly steamy as some I've read but all in all a continuous read. You get so caught up in Maxie that you keep turning the page. However the ending left you wanting more. I will be looking for more from this author.
This was my first time reading a book by this Author. I gotta say the older man younger woman theme was intriguing. The book had me involved from the first affair. This is a book I would recommend to anyone who wanted a short reprieve from everyday life. The ending I was not expecting and it leaves the reader gasping for the next book!
I do truly enjoy a good love story and this is one indeed. This is about a girl who falls for her best friends father, who isn't getting the attention at home. The sad thing is her best friend, his son loves her also. Such a love trap.I hope there will be a second part to this one I really enjoyed it.
This story was a treasure. There were so many emotions throughout the book. I could feel the desperation, the excitement of new beginnings,the anticipation of being wanted after life has dealt you a sack of coals. The lovemaking was not over the top as if they were a form of super powered nympho. The sex scenes were tasteful and a perfect blend to have your senses towering out of control. I absolutely loved this book. I want more. This was the treat that left a wanting desire of anticipation for the next book by this author. Thank you and again sheer delight.
I have never read anything from this author and was intrigued once I began reading all of the post regarding this book. Let me just say that I cannot wait for read the sequel to this book! The first couple of pages had me hooked. Michael and Mickey whew....If only I had that problem minus the men being married of course! Maxine definitely needs a little bit of therapy to help her overcome her past and her tendency to act first and think later attitude. I can understand Michael being upset with his wife's revelations, I can also understand Mickey's inability to speak the truth to Maxine but cannot relate to Maria's revelation about herself although understand the feeling of being trapped in a relationship that should have ended a long time ago. Can you say let's keep this all in the family??? Let me just say that the sex scenes were HOT AS HELL like I like them!! So much many relationships are at steak here. I need to know if Maxine finally finds her true worth!! Good Job Ms. Patrese!!
