The beginning did not prepare me for the end. A typical love story with a twist and a good read. Entering a relationship for the wrong reasons will always lead to conflict. How you solve that conflict might not be the best way for those involved.
Loved the synopsis of the other books and they are calling out to me to read them also.
If you like the classic romance story, this is a good read. I thought the author put life into the characters and the storyline flowed smoothly. I believe the book was previously published with because there are times when Jake's name is replaced with "Shane". I can overlook small things like this because in no way does it detract from the book.
I love to read Karen Rose Smith's books. She is a great author. This is book 3 of the series and like the first two, it was an amazing love story.
I got this book on a free promo and really enjoyed the story. I liked what an alpha male the main character was. Sometimes things went a bit over the top, which was the only reason for it not being a 5 star book for me. I liked this author, though, and I'm going to the beginning to get the other books in the series. I'm glad I found this one and would recommend it.
Love, love, love the book. Really enjoyed all the Seach for Love series. Really enjoyed the way Karen Rose Smith wove all the characters together. She is an amazing author. Reading the series in order is the key to really understanding the characters and their relationship to each other. The series is a must read.
Loved it. Beautiful. This is a wonderful novel of the pain and destruction of loss and the power of love to over come the destruction. Karen Rose Smith creates fabulous characters and warm relationships with all of her characters. This book is set mostly during that magical time between Thanksgiving and Christmas and has all the delightful touches of the season that warm our souls.
There is a delightful side story that makes this book a little extra special.
Jake was a depressed ex cop who watch his little boy die in a car bombing and never forgave himself and we hear this over and over again even wen he finds out he has fathered another child. So when the new son is 3 years old, Jake finds out about his new child and boy is he pissed! Mainly because his fiancé called off the wedding because she was pregnant and never told him why. Sara knew Jake would never accept her or her son. He said he never wanted children again!! And how could she have lied to him? we hear this over and over again until the last few pages of the book. I wanted to punch Jake and how could Sara keep loving him? Poor Jake. She would never keep him away from Christopher her 3 year old it was all her fault for not telling him she was pregnant. Such a soap opera
